Gibson's are more affordable for a service call and they are honest.........
He is very efficient in whatever he is working on. Always gives a great explanation of the problem and several ways to fix it!
I am always glad to recommend Gibson's when asked who do I call when we have a issue.
Jake was awesome. He clearly explained everything and went above means to help up. Would definitely use them again. Thank you for send such a well informed technician.
Bob is always cheerful and friendly when he arrives.
Josh K. was very helpful and thorough. He showed me my problem and put my mind at ease before the appointment was over. I have called Gibson's out twice before and will continue to do so. Thanks for practicing excellence.
Have been using Gibson's for about 2 years, had I done a review early on it would have been 5+ stars. Your plumbing technician fixed an ongoing problem that J.O. Mory couldn't fix in 3 years worth of attempts! Based on that and other early experiences, we spent over $7,000 in 2016 to have 2 new furnaces installed in our rental home and also in our primary residence. The rental home install wasn't without problems, as I had to call Gibson's back out on at least 2 occasions after installation to correct ongoing issues, including forgetting to properly hook up the central a/c to the system. In December, 2016 our primary residence required a new furnace, as the technician explained the heat exchanger was failing. Fast forward to the first warm weather of 2017, and the a/c system would not blow cold. First time the system failed to perform since we purchased the home in 2011. After explaining the situation to Gibson's scheduling staff regarding the situation, and reminded them of the very recent install, we were charged nearly $300 for a service call, and a "top off" of refrigerant. The technician belittled my wife, telling her there was no way the install of a new furnace could cause loss of refrigerant. After calling the office about the charge, I did receive a refund with an explanation that the service call should have fallen under "follow up" done after every install when the season changes. One month later, a/c system not cooling again. In June technician came out, I took a day off work, and he spent probably 4 hours, confirmed he found a leak in the a/c coil that very likely could have been caused by the recent furnace install. He stepped outside to call and speak with someone, upon returning he asked if the purchase of a new central a/c system would be a possibility if discounted, that the only other real option was to dismantle the system and attempt a repair back at the shop of our existing coil. Tech also stated due to the cost of R22 that Gibson's would be reluctant to come out and continue to top off the system. The option decided upon was to attempt a system stop leak in an attempt to get the system going. The stop leak seemed to work for about 2 months, I called Gibson's to look at the system again today. Tech verified that the coil is still leaking in the same spot, yet now does not want to fully acknowledge the coil could have been damaged at the time of furnace installation. The options as I understand them only provide a discount on replacing the coil, other options presented do not appear to provide or acknowledge any reduction in price. I do not find these options acceptable. I have worked in automotive customer service management for over 38 years. Do you know what occurs when we damage something on a customers car during service? The dealership repairs it, at the dealerships full expense. Even if the circumstances are a bit questionable. Do you know why? We value customer retention. Does Gibson's? Your technician today did not even offer to "top off" the system while we mulled over our options.
What a breath of fresh air to deal with a company that is fast, fair, and honest.. Will refer them to everyone I know. Thank you Andy, and thank you Gibson's for not taking advantage of people......
Andy checked my 2 concerns and quickly reassured me that neither were am issue, at that point I was very relieved. With a few more quick checks he determined that my compressor start capacitor had failed, wow.... When I purchased this unit I sourced all the consumable parts locally and already had any and all replacements on hand. After he left I installed the capacitor that I had on the shelf and the unit fired right up and it's working very well.
I was already poking around the unit to self diagnose before I gave in and had to call a professional. My diagnosis was low freon, or a bad compressor..... One is easily fixed the other requires a normal person to just scrap the unit and purchase a new more efficient model.
Andy R showed up before the scheduled time, wow "before" can you believe it?? He came prepared to diagnose my swimming pool air sourced heat pump.
